Ermil Ogden

1920 - 2017

Ermil Elizabeth Ogden, age 96 of Cheboygan,
passed away September 4, 2017, at Tender Care
in Cheboygan, Michigan.

She was born November 9, 1920, in Onaway, Michigan
to Arthur and Myrtle Bishop, She grew up and attended
school in Cheboygan.
Ermil was always very active in her church even from an early age, At 8
she began to sing in church, She attended Collier Road Bible College
in Pontiac. She also loved to play the piano and she served as a youth
leader with her husband, She became an ordained evangelist in 1962 and
spent most of her time ministering in the Ontario, Rochester, Port Huron,
Shingleton and Cheboygan areas. She was instrumental in starting the
Hymn Sings at Cleveland Manor in Midland. Ermil married Irwin Ogden
on June 20, 1952 in Washington, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by:
her parents, Arthur and Myrtle Bishop,
her husband, Irwin Ogden and
son, Sam (Maenard) Carter of West Branch.

Ermil is survived by:
her children, Neal and Claudia Ogden, of Chesapeake, Virginia,
Ann Carter of Leesburg, Florida,
Al and Sandy Carter of Golden Valley, Arizona,
Clyde and Phyllis Carter of Cheboygan, Michigan,
Keith and Alta Munson of Petoskey, Michigan,
Mark and Diane Ogden of Cheboygan, Michigan.

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and
4 great-great grandchildren,

A graveside service will take place at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery
with Pastor Clyde Carter of Shiloh Worship Center officiating,

Her favorite Bible Verse was II Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought a good fight,
I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, Henceforth, there is laid
up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge,
shall give to me at that day and not to me only but unto all them also that
love his appearing.”
