Ronald Idalski

1938 - 2016

Ronald L. Idalski age 77 of Rogers City
passed away unexpectedly at home on August 10, 2016.

He was born October 9, 1938 in Rogers City
to Walter and Rose (Orban) Idalski.

Ron graduated from Rogers City High School in 1957. He served in the
United States Marine Corps from June 27, 1957 until April 5, 1959. On
May 19, 1962 he married Kathleen Buza at St. Casimir Catholic Church.
He retired from the Calcite plant in 1995, Ron had a “quick wit” about
him and always had a piece of hard candy in his pocket which he would
offer to you, but when he couldn’t remember your name he would call you
“Snapper”. He used it so often that “Snapper” became his nickname, He
enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, playing dominoes and all sorts of
card games.

Mr. Idalski is survived by:
his wife, Kathleen;
3 children, Lisa (Tom) Bellmore, Todd (Lynn) Idalski and
Joel (Robin) Idalski;
8 grandchildren, Tommy Bellmore, Tyler (Christine) Idalski,
Ashley Bellmore, Leanne Idalski, Brooklyn Idalski,
Autumn Idalski, T.J, Idalski and Braden Idalski.

Ron was preceded in death by:
his parents, Walter and Rose;
siblings, Walter Jr., Leo, Eleanor Darga and Joyce Zielinski,

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 until
8:00 p.m. where the 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus will lead the
Rosary at 6:30 followed by the Parish Wake Service at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will resume on Saturday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church from
9:00 a.m, through time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Sylvestre Obwaka
officiating. Rogers City VFW Post 607 will offer a Military Tribute
immediately following Mass.

Inurnment will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be given to: St, Ignatius Catholic School, St. Ignatius
School’s Angel Fund, Friends Together, or a charity of your choice.
