Louis Behrends

Louis William Behrends age 86 of Huron Beach
died May 12, 2015 at McLaren Cheboygan Campus.

He was born June 19, 1928 in Saginaw
to Louis and Alvina (Wittmann) Behrends.

Louis graduated from Northern High School in Flint in 1946, He served in
the United States Marine Corps from 1946 through 1948, On June 3, 1950
he married Mary Jane Ciocan in Flint. He was called up as a Marine Corps
Reservist during the Korean War. Mr. Behrends retired from the Flint
Journal in 1991 as a master electrician, Mr. Behrends served for several
years as the president of the Typographical Union,

He is survived by:
his wife, Mary;
2 children, Mary Lou (Dennis) Corrigan of Grosse Pointe Shores and
Louis (Barbara) Behrends of Noblesville, Indiana;
7 grandchildren and
1 great granddaughter.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 until
8:00 p.m. where the Rogers City VFW Post 607 will accord military
honors at 7:00 p.m, Visitation will continue at the funeral home on
Saturday from 10:00 a.m. through time of funeral at 11:00 a.m. with
Pastor Denise Scheer officiating.

Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church
in Ocqueoc Township.
