Edna Quaine

Edna Quaine age 80 of Rogers City
passed away March 6, 2012 at home

She was born June 30, 1931 in Rogers City
to Simon and Agnes (Wcisel) Smolinski

Edna graduated from Rogers City High School in 1948. On November 24, 1949 she
married Norman Joseph Quaine at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, She was a devoted
wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

her husband, Norman;
8 children, William Quaine of Rogers City, Peg (Keith) Gordon of Rogers City,
John (Cindy) Quaine of Sterling Heights,
Norman Jr. (Sue) Quaine of Rogers City,
Anne (James) Ryan of Rogers City,
Simone Quaine of Bakersfield, California,
Matthew (Jackie) Quaine of Rogers City, and
Joseph “Jocy” Quaine of Rogers City;
21 grandchildren, Stephen and Samantha Quaine, Kaitie (Paul) Varga,
John (Kathryn) Gordon, Jacqui (Kenten) Yates,
Liz, Tim, and Emily Quaine, Leah (Duane) Woloszyk,
Kelly (Shawn) Grulke, Nathan (Jennifer) Ryan,
Rachel (John) Ament, Jude, Bridget, Luke, Blaise, and Jack Ryan,
David (Steph), Patrick, Megan, and Alexa Quaine;
6 great grandchildren, Ella, Ryan, Sammie, Jocelyn, Nevaeh, and Aiden;
siblings, Margaret Florip of Rogers City, Myron (Nancy) Smolinski of Monroe,
Marv (Pat) Smolinski of Troy, Delmar (Ruth) Smolinski of Freeland, and
Paul (Jan) Smolinski of Rogers City;
sisters-in-law, Betty Smolinski of Rogers City and
Angie Smolinski of Milwaukee, Wisconsin;
brother-in-law, Ivan Streich of Rogers City.

She was preceded in death by:
siblings, Raymond, Sylvester “Joe”, Larry, Louise Streich, and an infant sister, Ann.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Thursday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m.
with rosary at 6:30 followed by the parish wake service at 7:00 p.m. with
Sr. Rita Epple conducting. Visitation will continue on Friday at the funeral home
from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated by
Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz at St. Ignatius Catholic Church on Friday at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will take place at Mt, Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Ignatius Catholic School or
St. John Lutheran School in memory of Edna Quaine.
